SPRING 2020 and SUMMER 2020 Classes
My spring Create with Collage classes at the Pelham Art Center are cancelled because of the COVID 19 shutdown. Summer classes, if they take place, will be scheduled for 4 weeks only and the date is still pending. I planned two one-day workshops for June 20 and June 27 but they are also pending.

Evening class only: 7:00-9:30 – Studio II – adults
Here’s a summary of the original schedule: Each of the 8 class projects – one for each week – is inspired by great modern and contemporary artists. We learn from the masters. The image (above) is a student work. Projects in the spring term will focus on geometric shapes and abstract design. Summer term projects will focus on color and new collage techniques. Some projects include drawing, and working with watercolor and acrylic paint. All classes explore color and design. Students learn about art history. We embellish collage papers, work with found papers, magazines, fine art papers, even junk mail. The class is for artists at all skill levels. Many students want to focus on abstract design, but not all projects are abstract. Each week students have the opportunity to interpret the project with personal papers and media. Some projects explore narrative themes. The people in class are friendly, supportive and congenial. All classes include discussion, demonstration and critique.
